Job TitleSenior SolarWinds Automation EngineerAbout the RoleThis role plays a critical part in ensuring observability, performance monitoring, and automation across our global infrastructure. With 10+ years of experience, we are seeking a highly skilled SolarWinds Engineer to manage, optimize and automate various functions of our SolarWinds platform.ResponsibilitiesAdminister and maintain the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as:Node onboarding/offboardingAlert suppression or muting during maintenance windowsCustom alert/report generation and distributionSolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancementsImplement custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.Build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation.Manage custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments.Design and optimize SWQL and SQL queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views.Configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams).Participate in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics.Maintain security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging.Contribute to and maintain Kanban board tasks and documentation related to SolarWinds projects and issues.RequirementsWe are looking for an experienced professional with:A strong understanding of the SolarWinds Orion suite, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules.Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of the platform as well as PowerShell Development.Proficiency in implementing custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints.Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows.What We OfferWe offer a dynamic and challenging work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
