In two years, Airblack's beauty academy has trained over 35,000 students in 200+ cities as Makeup Artists, helping them start their businesses either as freelancers, studio owners, or earning influencers. We have also forayed into hospitality and culinary and helped over 500 bakers launch a baking business with our Certified Professional Baking Course

As a part of the People team at Airblack, you will play a pivotal role as the flag bearer of our culture. You'll lead initiatives spanning employee engagement, talent acquisition, the entire employee life cycle, effective people management, and everything in between that relates to our team members.

What would you be doing?
Talent Acquisition: Ensuring top talent joins our team within specified timelines by managing the entire recruitment process. From sourcing and screening candidates to conducting interviews and overseeing seamless onboarding, collaborate closely with hiring managers to develop effective strategies
People Engagement: From crafting memorable events to fostering inclusivity through innovative programs, you'll create a world-class employee experience. You'll be instrumental in creating meaningful connections through personalized interactions and empathetic understanding
People Management: You'll be the first point of contact for every team member ensuring a positive work environment for everyone. Additionally, you will be required to conduct regular pulse checks and surveys, which will provide vital insights into employee satisfaction and NPS, empowering continuous improvement across
End-to-End Employee Experience: You will ensure smooth transitions throughout the employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exits. This includes enhancing retention strategies and managing performance reviews, You’ll also oversee offboarding, maintain accurate records, support benefits administration, and implement feedback mechanisms.
What makes you a suitable candidate?
3-6 years of experience in a generalist role, talent acquisition, or people operations. Prior experience working in a mid-size startup will be a bonus
Preferably an MBA in Human Resources; alternatively, a degree from a highly regarded undergraduate institution
Prior experience in recruiting and onboarding a minimum of 100 employees
Must possess comprehensive knowledge of HR operations and employee engagement. Additionally, experience in organizing mid to large-scale events and engagements is a plus
You are adept at dealing with ambiguity, making informed decisions, and always prioritizing people in every aspect of your role.
Process orientation with the ability to design, implement, and manage work streams efficiently
Your exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, enable you to articulate ideas effectively, making you an excellent liaison between employees and management.
