Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Key Account Manager (KAM) to lead the charge in driving sales growth, expanding business, and delivering exceptional client experiences across international markets. This individual will take full ownership of assigned international clients, ensuring client retention, exceeding sales targets, and exploring new growth opportunities.
As the primary point of contact for key accounts, the KAM will focus on nurturing long-term client relationships while leveraging insights to maximize account revenue. The role demands tight alignment with sales targets and KPIs, coupled with proactive efforts to expand Dogsee's presence in global markets.
In addition to managing existing accounts, the KAM will identify and onboard new distributors, resellers, and buyers across diverse geographies, helping Dogsee achieve its ambitious international growth objectives. This role also entails active collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations, timely delivery, and outstanding client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Growth & Expansion:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue and growth targets.
- Actively identify new business opportunities and onboard distributors, resellers, and retail buyers in international markets.
- Expand Dogsee’s client base by identifying untapped markets and regions with high growth potential.
Account Management & Client Relations:
- Build, nurture, and sustain strong relationships with international clients to drive loyalty and repeat business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring an outstanding customer experience.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to discuss performance, sales trends, and areas for mutual growth.
Strategic Business Planning:
- Collaborate with clients on Joint Business Planning (JBP) initiatives to create mutually beneficial growth strategies.
- Leverage market insights and sales data to identify new opportunities and refine account strategies.
Target Alignment & Reporting:
- Tightly monitor and align activities with assigned sales and revenue targets.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate actionable reports to assess account performance and profitability.
Operations Coordination:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including logistics, supply chain, and finance, to ensure seamless execution of shipments and order fulfillment.
- Oversee the preparation of shipping documentation, ensuring adherence to international trade regulations and Incoterms.
Market Intelligence:
- Stay updated on industry trends, competition, and customer preferences to provide insights for business decision-making.
- Gather market feedback to guide product development and innovation tailored to international markets.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Work with the marketing team to create campaigns and materials that resonate with international clients and end-users.
- Provide input for product innovations based on market demands and client feedback.
Proactive Problem Solving:
- Identify challenges in sales or operations and proactively implement solutions to ensure smooth processes and high client satisfaction.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: MBA in Marketing, International Business, or related fields.
- Experience: 3- 4 years of experience in Key Account Management, International Sales, or Business Development within FMCG, B2B, or the pet industry.
- Sales and Business Growth: Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs in an international setting.
- Communication & Negotiation: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to negotiate deals and build lasting relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical thinker with a solution-oriented mindset and the ability to handle complex, fast-paced situations.
- Market Knowledge: Familiarity with international trade regulations, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and data analysis tools.
