Job Description Job TitleInvestment Account Services – Senior Java and Appian DeveloperRole Summary &Role DescriptionAs a Senior Java and Appian Developer you will contribute to the development, enhancement, configuration and maintenance of Investment Account Services platforms as a member of an agile scrum team. This is an opportunity to work within a very strong development team and help to develop challenging new products in the financial space using cutting edge technology.As a Java and Appian Technical Specialist candidate willDesign, Develop, Test, and Validate application solutions using Appian and Java for Alpha Investment Account Services platforms based on the business requirements.Development of Appian, Java and API and integratons with other internal/external systemsSound fundamentals in Java, Appian, design patterns, requirement understanding, unit-testing.Working experience of Agile MethodologyShould possess a strong working experience in Architecture, development, related SDLC processes, excellent API, microservcies and database knowledge.Sound knowledge/experience on PL/SQL, No SQL and SQL programming to an extent to carry out the necessary Application development and integration work.Sound knowledge of Front office, Middle office and Back office domain services (Investment accounting services, Cash services)Work on critical Development, Support and enhancement requests, and ensure the availability, accessibility and accuracy of the data delivered from these platforms.Issue debugging, investigate application related issues, handle and respond to critical application related support issues raised by the business with appropriate fix or technical resolution within a short span of time.Understanding the business requirements and converting to the technical requirementsReview and guide the deliverables of the junior developers in the team.Provide plans and estimation of the development tasks assigned.Communicate effectively within the global teams and with business teams to carry out project related tasks smoothly in a coordinated approach.Should exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving skills and aptitude to work in a complex and challenging work environment.Knowledge, experience of AWS/Azure cloud and Kubernetes is highly desirable.Certifications in Appian, Java, Cloud is highly desirableCore/Must have skills6+ Years Development experience in Appian10+ Years Exp in Core Java/ J2EE, API development, micro services8+ Years Exp in SQL/ PLSQL/No SQL (Prefer Oracle database)6+ Years Exp in MQ (Middle Tier) , Kafka (Service to Service communication)Good to have skillsAny public Cloud ExperienceKubernetes, DockerTechnical CertificationsWork ScheduleHybridKeywords (If any)Appian, Java, API, micro services, Kafka, SQLWhy this role is important to usOur technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights to our clients.
