The Role: The position is to build and lead the communications vertical of the Foundation, as it embarkson its new strategy as an independent philanthropy. The position involves envisioning and creation of a robust communications strategy, that effectively communicates the Foundation’s new thematic focus and builds brand recognition, post its transition from a corporate Foundation. The role requires ideation, creativethinking C execution abilities of an effective Comms strategy, whilst engaging all stakeholders.
Key responsibilities · Developing a new Foundation level communication strategy with the objective of creating (i) astrong brand identity of an independent domestic foundation (ii) a well-planned communication on itsnew thematic area, with the aim of fund raising in the future
· Create a powerful narrative that aligns with Foundation’s mission and resonates with diverse audiences
· Oversee the creation of high-quality content, to creatively portray new communication ideas andthoughts for information dissemination
· Work closely with the Foundation’s programme team to ideate and showcase our projects acrossvarious physical C digital platforms
· Lead the development of annual reports and other collaterals for specific events undertaken by theFoundation
· Building C managing communication events including FGDs and dissemination with partners
· Creation of a new website for the Foundation
Required experience & competencies
· Post Graduate with a degree in communications, journalism, literature or similar qualifications
· Specialized work experience in communications revolving around environment, sustainability, urbanclimate change, waste management or related areas is preferred
· 8-10 years of work experience in communications, with some part in the development sector ispreferred
· Very good written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives and messages
· Some experience in managing digital and social media platforms to amplify organizational messaging
· High levels of integrity and empathy in handling professional relationships C team members
About H T Parekh Foundation The H T Parekh Foundation was established in 2012, to commemorate the birth centenary of Mr H. T. Parekh, the visionary Founder and Chairman of erstwhile HDFC Limited (HDFC). HDFC has since mergedwith HDFC Bank w.e.f. 1.7.2023.
The Foundation commenced operations in 2014. In it’s first decade of giving, it operated as the philanthropic arm of HDFC, implementing HDFC’s Corporate Social Responsibility mandate. Since themerger in mid-2023, the Foundation has transitioned to being an independent, domestic philanthropy. As part of this transition, we have developed a new strategy and approach towards our giving. This new thematicarea titled U.R.B.A.N. (Urban Resilience Building Action Network), is intended to become the flagshipprogramme of the Foundation, and will form the basis of our work and giving over the next decade.
