Role Overview:
We are seeking a driven and innovative Marine Business Analyst (Product team) . The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving marine safety and risk management through data-driven insights and creative solutions for product development. You will play a critical role in developing solutions for new products and working closely with cross-functional teams to bring those products to life.
The role is a remote working role with occasional travel to Mumbai (covered by the company). The role will be reporting to HiLo’s Product owner.

Key Responsibilities:
·      Industry Insights: Stay up to date with the latest maritime safety standards, regulations, and technological advancements. Proactively seek opportunities to integrate emerging trends into HiLo’s product offerings.
·      Data-Driven Decision Making: Use advanced analytics to influence decision-making and identify areas for safety improvement within the maritime sector. Present findings in a clear and impactful way to both internal teams and external clients.
·      Work Ethic & Initiative: Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a proactive approach. This is not a traditional 9-5 role – your drive and dedication will shape your work hours and deliverables.

Key Qualifications:
·      Maritime Knowledge: A solid understanding of the maritime industry, and regulatory frameworks is essential. Knowledge of risk management practices specific to maritime operations is a significant advantage.
·      Analytical Skills: Strong understanding of data analysis techniques. Proficiency in Power BI, Excel (pivot tables), or other relevant analytics software is a plus.
·      Product Development Mindset: Comfortable with ideation on new solutions.
·      Problem Solver: Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Able to take complex issues and break them down into actionable solutions.
