Job Summary:

The Head of Finance at Nine Jewellery will oversee the financial health of the organization, drive financial strategy and planning, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and support decision-making with accurate financial analysis. The role involves a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on management to ensure optimal financial performance and growth.


Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to align with the company’s long-term objectives.
  • Provide financial insight and analysis to support the company’s strategic decision-making processes.
  • Partner with the leadership team to drive profitability and ensure sustainable growth.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and ROI analyses for new projects or investments.

Treasury and Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee cash flow planning, fund management, and investment strategies.
  • Manage banking relationships and ensure the availability of sufficient funds to meet operational needs.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, company law, and other statutory obligations.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust internal controls and audits.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies as required.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Conduct regular training and mentoring sessions to enhance team capabilities.

Operational Excellence:

  • Optimize financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Implement best practices in cost control, financial reporting, and expense management.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Previous background in Jewellery Industry is compulsory.
  • Expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budget management.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards (Ind AS) and GST compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA), MBA in Finance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in retail, luxury, or manufacturing industries.
  • Proven track record of driving financial strategies and managing large-scale operations.
  • Previous background in Jewellery Industry is compulsory.
