Corporate Title Director

CB IB Operations and Controls is a dynamic, diverse, and collaborative division that provides operational support to Deutsche Bank’s business. The Divisional Control Office (DCO) is an independent Risk Management function within Operations that executes all aspects of the bank’s Operational Risk Management policies/frameworks.

We are looking for an experienced energetic and dynamic leader with record of strategy / execution and (preferably non-financial risk).

In this role you will be responsible for the Divisional Control Office’s Centre of Excellence in India executing first line risk management by: identifying and measuring risks, reviewing remediation plans by ensuring they are robust and monitoring risks. You will work closely with senior management across Operations, 2nd LoD functions (e.g. Anti Financial Crime (AFC), Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM), Legal, Group Audit, Compliance and 3rd line (Group audit).

Your key responsibilities

Oversight for over 100+ DCO staff in India across CB/IB Operations and controls Drive strategy/transformation to evolve the DCO function to develop best practice and improve coverage to support the Banks evolving NFR Framework Enable proactive risk management by leveraging Data/Analytics capabilities Manage key senior stakeholders and provide an objective view on operational risk and play a proactive role across the risk management lifecycle (Identify, Assess, Measure, Report, Mitigate.) Manage all people related matters in India including hiring, identifying, and developing talent across fungible team, staff retention, cross training, cultivating change and risk conscious mindset Own and drive relevant Non-Financial Risk Councils and governance forums Manage all aspects of Operational risk including operational and financial integrity issues, Self-Identified Issues, Audit Findings, Incidents/Events

Your skills and experience

Proven experience in leading teams in an operational risk and control function or Audit within Banking Operations with proven global management capability Expertise with management of internal/external/regulatory findings Understanding of risk management and control frameworks in a global banking control environment, with sound knowledge of banking activities, products, risk management techniques and regulatory requirements Demonstrated ability to think strategically with respect to governance, oversight, risk, control agendas. Strong organisational and planning skills and a track record of delivery A strong communicator with proven ability in developing relationships with both senior and junior levels across a global organisation Proven track record of driving transformation in risk and control
