Job Description:

Platform Application Architect role will be responsible for leading projects to architect, design and implement software solutions for data integration, visualization, and reporting applications. Work within designated architecture to support existing applications and interact with cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.

Recommended experience with high availability and disaster recovery design and implementation. Experience in performing application administration, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning. Should have monitoring and troubleshooting experience of various application services on Windows and Linux servers.

Should have exceptionally good knowledge and work experience on Unix and Windows, experience with various database types (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Snowflake) and Cloud migrations/implementations on Azure. Experience with administration and architecture for Tableau, BusinessObjects, Informatica and PowerBI recommended.


Responsibilities:

• Lead project work (application upgrades, migrations, changes) as well as daily support activities.

• Provide recommendations and guidance for application migrations, moves (cloud/Azure), and consolidations.

• Create Unix shell scripts and guidance /troubleshoot Unix related issues.

• Application maintenance and platform configuration updates.

• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

• Provide architectural assessments, strategies, and roadmaps for projects and Proof of-Concepts. • Plan and implement application installations, version upgrades and patch updates.

• Currency planning, DR planning and testing.

• Review platform performance/metrics and plan continuous service improvements.

• Mentor and coach team members to help ensure continued development of skills and capabilities.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards, data protection regulations, and organization policies and guidelines.

• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas of improvement.

• Review and remediate security vulnerabilities.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of platform runbooks, configurations, and changes.

• Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues and incidents related to platform applications.


Required Tools/Technical Knowledge:

• Unix & Unix scripting, Window servers, Tableau, PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, Informatica, Databases (Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Snowflake), Azure.


Technical Knowledge:

• Experience with administration and architecture for one or more of the following: Tableau, SAP Business Objects, PowerBI, Informatica.

• Understanding of application architecture, network protocols, and security concepts.

• Proposing architecture for any new application / existing application upgrades

• Expertise in Unix skillset is mandatory.

• Certification in any Cloud platform (preferably in Azure) is good to have.

• Experience working with ITSM tools, preferably in Service-Now. Good understanding of ITIL process and certification is desired.


Additional Requirements:

• Associate should be able to support rotational On-Call support on weekends.

• Associate should be able to support and work during US Business Hours (Shift time – 15.30 pm IST to 00.30 am IST)

• Associate must follow US Business Holiday schedule.

• Associate should hold a full-time degree - BE/BTech/ME/MTech

• Associate should have an experience of 10 – 15 years.
