Key Backend Developer PositionA highly skilled and experienced Backend Developer is required to create cutting-edge backend systems for a global travel infrastructure.Search engines & availability toolsPricing systems & margin managementBooking and payment orchestration solutionsDistributed microservices for travel inventory managementHigh-performance APIs serving millions of requestsThis high-ownership, high-impact role requires a strong Java expertise in building scalable APIs, designing domain models, state machines, queues, caching layers, and workflows. The ideal candidate should have experience with Docker, CI/CD, and cloud environments, preferably AWS.Requirements:Backend Architecture & Microservices: Design and develop backend systems using Java 11+, Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate; Build scalable APIs for hotels, flights, bookings, payments, and user systems; Implement idempotency, retries, consistency guarantees, and fault tolerance.Search, Pricing & Booking Flows: Develop low-latency services for search, filtering, availability, and pricing; Integrate with internal pricing engines and caching systems; Work on booking flows requiring transactional correctness and reliability.Integrations: Integrate with external travel suppliers, hotel partners, GDS/NDC APIs; Integrate with payment gateways (Razorpay, Stripe, PayU, UPI); Handle API authentication, rate limits, SLA constraints, and failover logic.Performance, Reliability & Observability: Implement circuit breakers, fallbacks, rate limiting (Resilience4J); Optimize APIs for high throughput and sub-200ms latencies; Work with logs, metrics, dashboards, and distributed tracing; Collaborate with DevOps on AWS deployments, CI/CD, and scaling.Team Leadership: Review code, support junior engineers, and enforce best practices; Drive technical decisions, architecture reviews, and sprint planning.About the RoleThis position involves creating backend systems that are efficient, reliable, and scalable.
