Role Responsibilities:Evaluate mortgage loan applications and assess creditworthiness.Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of applicants' credit profiles.Review and verify applicant documentation for accuracy and completeness.Collaborate with loan officers to determine loan eligibility.Recommend loan approval or denial decisions based on credit evaluation.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of mortgage loan products and industry trends.Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.Provide exceptional customer service, addressing borrower concerns promptly.Prepare reports on loan approvals, denials, and risk assessments.Assist in developing policies and procedures for credit evaluation.Engage with external stakeholders such as real estate agents and appraisal companies.Monitor ongoing loan performance and follow up on delinquent accounts.Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills.Support team members in achieving departmental goals.Contribute to a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and cooperation.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.Proven experience as a Credit Officer or in a similar role.Strong understanding of mortgage loan products and processes.Excellent analytical and numerical skills.Proficiency in financial modeling and risk assessment.Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Customer-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial software.Willingness to learn and adapt to changing environments.Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.Experience in managing relationships with stakeholders.Knowledge of credit scoring models and analysis.
