The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end AWS RDS environments to ensure high availability, security, and performance.Key Responsibilities:Design, deploy, and manage multiple AWS RDS instances (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, Aurora) across multiple environmentsMonitor and optimize database performance, availability, and cost efficiency using AWS CloudWatch and other toolsImplement and maintain robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies for AWS RDSEnsure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for all RDS deployments in the regionAutomate routine database administration tasks using AWS Lambda, CloudFormation, or other automation toolsCollaborate with application DevOps and infrastructure teams to support database architecture and integrationPerform database migrations and upgrades with minimal downtime leveraging AWS Database Migration ServiceTroubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents providing escalation support as neededMaintain comprehensive documentation of database architectures, procedures, and best practicesRequirementsThe ideal candidate will have experience in designing, deploying, and managing large-scale database systems on AWS RDS. Strong knowledge of database administration, performance tuning, and security is essential.AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Database - Specialty, are highly desirable.
