About the Role

This role will involve:

  • Building and integrating REST APIs within a Node/NestJS service.
  • Handling message queues with RabbitMQ for asynchronous processing.
  • Database management using PostgreSQL for data storage and retrieval.


Responsibilities

  • API Development and Integration:
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Node.js/NestJS.
  • Collaborate on API architecture and integration strategies, focusing on scalability and security.
  • Handle complex integrations with external services.
  • Asynchronous Processing with RabbitMQ:
  • Implement and manage message queues using RabbitMQ to support asynchronous processes and background tasks.
  • Design and configure different RabbitMQ exchanges and queues to ensure reliable message handling.
  • Monitor and optimize message processing for performance and error handling.
  • Database Management (PostgreSQL):
  • Work with PostgreSQL for data modeling, query optimization, and performance management.
  • Utilize both ORM and raw SQL for complex queries and data management.
  • System Optimization and Maintenance:
  • Maintain and improve backend service efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
  • Write comprehensive documentation and implement testing for APIs and messaging workflows.


Required Skills

  • Node.js and NestJS: Proficiency in backend service development, with NestJS for structured and maintainable code.
  • RabbitMQ: Expertise in setting up and managing message queues, including designing and implementing multiple exchange types.
  • RESTful API Design: Experience in building scalable, secure APIs.
  • PostgreSQL: Strong knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and ORM use.
  • TypeScript: For type safety and maintainable code within Node/NestJS.
  • Experience with Asynchronous Programming: In-depth understanding of asynchronous patterns in JavaScript and Node.js.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote and local teams
