Senior Migration Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Migration Specialist to lead the migration of legacy Business Intelligence (BI) reports into modern data platforms. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Oracle BI Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Tableau, as well as expertise in Databricks and Amazon Web Services (AWS).About the Role:Analyze legacy OBIEE reports, subject areas, metrics, and calculations to inform migration strategy.Reverse-engineer OBIEE data flows and convert logic into modern data models using Databricks Medallion Architecture.Develop Extract, Transform, Load (ETL)/Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) pipelines on Databricks using PySpark/Spark SQL.Recreate reports and dashboards in Tableau, ensuring functional and visual parity with legacy systems.Optimize performance using Tableau best practices, such as Level of Detail (LOD), extracts, data blending, and joins.Work with AWS services, including S3, Glue, Lambda, and Redshift/Athena, for data ingestion and storage.Validate migrated reports to ensure data accuracy, metric consistency, and business logic alignment.Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and refine dashboards.Document data flows, mapping rules, transformations, and dashboard logic for future reference.Requirements:5+ years of experience in OBIEE (RPD, Answers, Dashboards)3+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau dashboard developmentStrong expertise in Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake)Solid understanding of Medallion Architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)Experience with AWS Cloud data stack (S3, Glue, Athena, IAM, Lambda, Redshift preferred)Strong SQL experience across Oracle and cloud data platformsAbility to interpret business logic from OBIEE RPD and rebuild it accuratelyStrong communication, documentation, and requirement-gathering skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience in full BI modernization/migration programsKnowledge of performance tuning for Tableau and DatabricksExperience with Airflow, DBT, or other orchestration toolsExperience with enterprise BI governance and metadata managementFamiliarity with reporting validations and QA processesNice to Have:Good understanding of Oracle EBS or Oracle data modelsDashboard UX/UI experienceData lineage & cataloging experience (Collibra, AWS Glue Data Catalog)
