Join us in powering the progress of global aerospace.Position Responsibilities:Designing the building blocks for the avionics systems.Define High Level and Low-Level Software requirements.Derive / Define software specifications from industry standards, aircraft level requirements, concept specifications, and trade studiesPerform trade studies, and evaluate alternate designs to propose the most optimal software solutions for future avionics systems.Coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world.Estimate Code, test software development effort.Ensure SW architecture and Design is per the Software requirements.Apply interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to design, develop and verify next generation software for avionics systems.Perform peer review on System and Software Requirements, Design and Test.Support SRR (Systems Requirements Review), PDR (Preliminary Design Reviews), CDR (Critical Design Reviews), TRR (Test Readiness Review) and Formal Qualification.Support project management by providing periodic status and required metrics data.Be a good team player in the agile team. Candidate should possess excellent communications skills to participate in Requirement/Design/Code/Test reviews, have a thorough understanding of version control and software quality attributes, such as testability, portability and maintainability, and enjoy a self-driven and collaborative development approach.Be dynamic and support management and leads to ensure successful product deliveries.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's or Master's Degree is required as BASIC QUALIFICATION.Strong fundamentals in Real-time Operating Systems; kernel level allocations, etc.Experience in DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, SAE ARP 4754, SAE ARP 4761, ARINC 661Experience in developing avionics interface control specificationsAbility to interface and interact with various stakeholders, customers, pilots to capture requirementsExperience with Model Based Design / Systems Engineering will be an added advantageStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, very meticulous, patient and congenialExcellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skillsCandidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with team members across different cultures and time-zonesDevelop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.Must have experience to mentor and teach juniors and partners to accomplish project and departmental goals and objectives.Strong experience with Linux or UNIX.Strong experience with various network protocols like TCP/IP, UDP.Strong experience with modern open source technologies and tools.Strong troubleshooting skills at network and OS level.Desired Skills:Strong experience with modern open source technologies and toolsStrong understanding of system and software architecturesStrong experience developing software products, scalable applications using a range of software models including Object-oriented and functional design patternsStrong Aerospace and Embedded Application Programming experienceAbility to quickly diagnose and resolve issues in a lab environmentAgile development experiencePreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor's degree or higherTypical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 12 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters + 11 or more years' of related work experience, etc.).Relocation:This position offers relocation within INDIA.Language Requirements:Not ApplicableEducation:Bachelor's Degree or EquivalentRelocation:This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Security Clearance:This position does not require a Security Clearance.Visa Sponsorship:Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Contingent Upon Award ProgramThis position is not contingent upon program awardShift:Not a Shift Worker (India)
