Job Description:Job Title: Lead - Software EngineeringThe Purpose of This RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our Fidelity Health Benefits Platform (FHB) team within Workplace Investing (WI) . As a member of the FHB Product Development team, you will design, develop, and own scalable and resilient enterprise-grade solutions that powers FHB's platform capabilities. Using modern technology stacks and cloud-native architectures, you will build and continuously enhance systems aligning with enterprise software development practices. This role empowers you to contribute across the full development lifecycle while collaborating with multi-functional teams.The Value You DeliverAs a Lead Software Engineer in Product Development, you'll build cloud-native solutions that drive the evolution of our FHB platform. You'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your expertise across the full development lifecycle—from developing microservices and integrating APIs to deploying on modern cloud infrastructure—while collaborating with multi-functional teams to deliver impactful features and enhancements.The Skills that are Key to this roleTechnicalAdvanced Java & Microservices: Designs and develops scalable microservices using Spring BootDatabase Design: Strong SQL skills with experience in schema design and performance tuningCloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCPCI/CD & Monitoring: Improves pipelines, uses monitoring toolsSystem Design: Contributes to component and system-level designSecurity Practices: Implements secure development practices and mentors othersFull-Stack Development: Preferred experience with frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular, Typescript)Event-Driven Architecture: Familiar with ActiveMQ and messaging patternsDev Assist Tools: Familiar with GitHub Copilot, Gemini for code reviews and refactoringMentorship & Collaboration: Mentors junior engineers, collaborates across teamsThe Skills that are Good to Have for this roleExposure to the US healthcare Payor domain is preferredHow Your Work Impacts the OrganizationAs a Lead Software Engineer at Fidelity Health Technology, you will play a key role in delivering high-impact solutions that power the FHB platform.
