About the RoleOur organization is seeking a highly skilled part-time data professional who can independently manage analytics and reporting tasks across various tools, including Power BI, SQL, Google Sheets, and basic data engineering/integration platforms.The ideal candidate will support multiple ongoing client projects by building dashboards, automating data flows, cleaning and modeling real-world datasets, and ensuring accurate, reliable, and scalable reporting.This role is suitable for someone who prefers part-time, flexible hours and enjoys building solutions end-to-end without heavy supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesPower BI Development (End-to-End Ownership)Develop dashboards from scratch, encompassing data ingestion, transformation, modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization.Utilize Power Query for data transformation and shaping.Create well-structured, analytics-ready data models based on star schema architecture.Write advanced DAX formulas for KPIs, time-intelligence, and business logic.Configure row-level security, scheduled refresh, incremental refresh, parameters, and other features as required.Optimize dashboards for performance and accuracy.SQL (Intermediate to Advanced)Write clean, optimized queries that combine multiple datasets.Build complex logic for de-duplication, grouping, time-based metrics, and trend analysis.Perform date/time conversions, timestamp harmonization, and business-rule logic.Assist in cleaning and preparing backend datasets for Power BI.Google Sheets + AutomationWork with operational data stored in Google Sheets.Utilize advanced formulas, including QUERY, FILTER, ARRAYFORMULA, REGEX, and others.Structure Sheets for seamless ingestion into Power BI.Automate repetitive steps using Apps Script or willingness to learn quickly.Create helper/staging sheets for data cleaning and quality assurance.Data Engineering Foundations (Lightweight but Practical)Integrate external systems through REST APIs, utilizing JSON, tokens, and pagination.Use Make.com, Pipedream, or Apps Script to automate data ingestion.Troubleshoot data flow breaks and ensure continuity of pipelines.Data Cleaning, Structuring & DocumentationClean messy, real-world datasets, eliminating duplicates, mismatches, and missing fields.Design clear transformation logic from raw data to final model.Document data definitions, modelling rules, and key assumptions.Provide quality checks to ensure stable reporting.
