Oracle Database Administration RoleThe ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases across various versions. A solid understanding of Oracle Data Guard is necessary to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.Key responsibilities include periodic maintenance/patching, monitoring database performance, proactive tuning, managing backup and recovery using RMAN and Oracle Recovery Manager strategies, defining and implementing best practices and automation initiatives, and leading database migration projects.Required skills include proficiency in RMAN backup and recovery strategies, strong knowledge of data protection and disaster recovery, hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization, experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management, experience with patching, upgrades, and database cloning, solid understanding of Unix/Linux system administration related to Oracle, and proficiency in writing complex PL/SQL scripts and shell scripting for automation.High Availability and Disaster RecoveryThe role requires a deep understanding of Oracle Data Guard to ensure high availability and disaster recovery.
