Backup & Recovery: - Design and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN or other tools. - Manage disaster recovery plans and ensure database availability and resilience. Database Security: - Implement database security policies, including user management, access controls, and encryption. - Perform audits to ensure compliance with security standards. Performance Tuning & Optimization: - Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. - Optimize database queries, indexes, and configurations for efficient operations. Troubleshooting: - Handle database incidents, root cause analysis, and problem resolution. - Provide support for database issues and ensure minimal downtime. Patching & Updates: - Apply database patches and updates as required. - Maintain database software and hardware compatibility. Documentation: - Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures. - Provide knowledge transfer and training to other team members. - . - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Oracle 11g/12c/19c database administration. - Hands-on experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Data Guard. - Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL programming. - Expertise in tools like RMAN, OEM, and database performance monitoring utilities. - Other Skills: - Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Skills: - Experience with cloud-based Oracle solutions such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). - Knowledge of other database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server. - Certification in Oracle Database Administration is a plus.
