Procurement Specialist Role OverviewThe Procurement Specialist is a strategic role that drives procurement excellence in our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling solar PV projects procurement, with a strong background in international container shipping/ freight forwarding.Conduct market research and analyze data to identify trends and best practices for cost savings opportunities.Develop category strategies based on data insights and expertise.Evaluate potential suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards.Verify projected cost savings from sourcing events.Lead and support strategic sourcing initiatives, including supplier negotiations.Communicate effectively with business stakeholders to understand requirements and inform decision-making.Maintain strong relationships with clients and suppliers for effective procurement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align category strategies with organizational goals.Ensure timely receipt of goods from suppliers and delivery to customers: resolve issues related to warehouse, port, customs, or transportation company logistics.Verify that all deliveries conform to established procedures and policies, as well as applicable laws and regulations.Create and validate customs and freight documentation, preparing export/domestic shipment documents in a timely manner.Adhere to relevant legislation and procedures regarding quality, customs, and safety.Prepare and maintain accurate delivery schedules and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.Support initiatives to improve costs in four key areas: Inbound, Outbound, Freight, and Customs/Duties.Implement local logistics improvement processes from the global cluster.Coordinate ETDs and ETAs across the supply chain to ensure timely customer delivery.Plan shipments according to requirements, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.Manage communication between order fulfillment, factory logistics, markets, customers, logistics service providers (freight forwarders, customs brokers, truckers), and other stakeholders.Ensure integrity of import/export documentation (Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, etc.).Monitor shipment schedules and report exceptions to relevant stakeholders.
