Founding Engineer

Wisemonk, an innovative EOR India SaaS platform targeted at US companies, is seeking a visionary and hands-on Founding Engineer to join our early-stage startup and help shape our technological future.

Wisemonk simplifies the process of hiring and managing employees in India for US companies through our market leading Employer of Record (EOR) SaaS platform. We're on a mission to revolutionize cross-border employment and need a talented Founding Engineer to help us achieve this goal.

Job Overview

As our Founding Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying our EOR SaaS platform from the ground up. You'll work closely with the founding team and company’s technical advisors to translate our vision into a scalable, robust technical solution that meets the needs of US companies expanding into India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and build our EOR SaaS platform, making critical decisions on tech stack and infrastructure
  • Develop and implement core features and functionalities of the platform
  • Collaborate with the founding team to align technical solutions with business objectives
  • Establish best practices for coding, testing, and deployment
  • Contribute to product strategy and roadmap planning
  • Mentor and guide future engineering hires as we scale
  • Implement security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
  • Optimize platform performance and scalability

Requirements

  • Upto 2 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 6 months in an early-stage startup environment
  • Proven track record of building and launching products from scratch
  • Strong full-stack development skills (specific tech stack is flexible)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Familiarity with modern development practices (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps)
  • Understanding of scalable architecture design and microservices
  • Knowledge of data security and compliance requirements (GDPR, CCPA)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in ambiguous situations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
