Role: PL/SQL Developer

Exp Level: 6+ years

Location: Gurugram ( 5 days from Office)


We are seeking a highly skilled PL/SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in database development, ETL processes, and reporting applications. You will work closely with business partners to deliver robust data processing solutions, optimize database performance, and ensure the integrity and security of data.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate security measures to ensure data integrity and maximize database efficiency.
  • Define indexes for tables and manage schema properties.
  • Convert MSSQL table schemas to XSD format.
  • Develop data processing and ETL components on distributed database systems.
  • Design and develop logical and physical databases, including understanding the impact of changes on physical storage.
  • Create database application schemas for business intelligence applications.
  • Develop scripting to support production operations of data processing applications.
  • Perform development and programming tasks using PL/SQL.
  • Design and develop reporting applications.
  • Implement and maintain ETL processes to update data warehouses.
  • Provide development and support for Java web applications and services, where applicable.
  • Offer expertise in Oracle and PL/SQL, including tuning, scripting, and ETL development.
  • Participate in system enhancements, exception case management, and daily business operations.
  • Conduct research and proof-of-concept testing to influence technology roadmaps and recommend innovations.

Desired Skills and Expertise:

  • Proficiency in SQL programming and ability to write complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with one or more ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, Talend, or DataStage.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
  • Strong expertise in data profiling, analysis, and quality assurance.
  • Exposure to core Java, powerhouse, or other 4GL languages is a plus.
  • Ability to develop and support Java-based applications is an added advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Good to Have: Power BI Experience

  • Report and Dashboard Design: Assist in creating basic reports and dashboards using Power BI Desktop, including layout and visual design.
  • Data Visualization: Select and format visualizations for clarity and aesthetics.
  • Data Integration: Help integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Data Validation: Validate data against predefined business rules and ensure quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for reports, data sources, and data transformation processes.
