About this role
We are looking for a dedicated Product Owner to join our team. The product owner will be responsible for defining the product vision, supporting the scrum team, managing backlog items, and optimizing the value of the product(s). As a product owner, you should ensure that the product(s) meet the customer's needs.
Responsibilities
Strategizing and presenting ideas to stakeholders
Defining product features to both stakeholders and the product team according to customer needs.
Acting as a point of contact between teams and stakeholders.
Managing and prioritizing product backlog items.
Assisting the scrum/product development team to meet the objectives of each sprint
Adjusting and improving each iteration of the product before release
Identifying areas of improvement.
Keeping customers and stakeholders informed of the status of the product
At a Glance
Product Owner certification (highly desired but not required)
Plan and prioritize product development and product feature backlog
Develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure theyre clearly understood by relevant teams
Prioritize Epics and Stories to ensure work aligns with product strategy
Lead the product-release plans and set expectations for delivery of new functionalities
In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong presentation skills
Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
Excellent communication skills, able to flex style and work with all levels within the organization from individual contributors to Executives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, or in a related technical field or equivalent technology experience.
6-8+ years of overall experience; can be a mixture of Project Management & Program Management experience, but requires the last 3-4 years to be focused in Product Management roles.
2-3+ years experience in Retail and Payments
Strong relationship management skills and cross functional stakeholder relationship building skills
Understanding of various delivery frameworks and practices (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, etc.) and appropriate application of them.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to track and prioritize numerous tasks and to coordinate activities with a high sense of urgency
Ability to effectively manage conflicting needs of stakeholders
Understanding of business value related to features and functions
Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills including collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation
Strong collaboration skills to achieve business goals collectively across broad teams
Challenges the status quo, champions change and influences others to change
Demonstrated hands on experience with Jira and Confluence
