About the Role:As a Senior Software Test Automation Engineer, you will take on more advanced testing responsibilities and contribute significantly to our quality assurance efforts. Your expertise will help create robust test automation solutions, ensuring software reliability and performance. You will play a crucial role in mentoring junior team members and driving continuous improvement in our testing processes.Senior Software Test Automation Engineer is responsible for planning, developing, and executing tests on new and existing products to ensure that they meet the requisite functional, technical, and regulatory requirements. This role requires hands-on experience with both automated and manual test approaches using TestCafe, TypeScript and/or related tools & technologies. Incumbents will require proficient understanding of the software test methodologies, requires in-depth conceptual & practical knowledge of approaches, tools & platforms around software test automation and procedures in order to ensure testing efficiency and product quality.Essential duties & responsibilities:Participate in review of product requirements for testabilityDevelop, review, and execute test plans and test scripts for new and existing Enablon software productsIdentify test scenarios for automation and develop the automation scriptsParticipation in the support of continuous integration, continuous deployment and automation testing strategiesSubmit, track, and escalate, if needed, any product issues found during testing to ensure that they are resolvedReproduce issues when necessary in order to assist software development in resolving issuesProficient understanding of software test methodologies/procedures and the overall product development lifecycleAssist other members of the Quality Assurance Department on special projects and continuous process improvement initiatives as neededInterface with other members of Product Development in order to effectively communicate and resolve all reported issues in a timely manner before the product is releasedWillingness and ability to mentor/train other engineers as requiredUnderstand and be aware of code changes that may impact test coverage and executionIntroduce process improvement initiativesDevelop, document, and execute testing strategies and proceduresDevelop status reports based on test completion and test findingsDevelop recommendations based on test results to improve or correct designParticipate in customer documentation reviewsContribute information based on test results to design, development, and documentation teams and other relevant technical groupsConduct Root Cause Analysis reviewsPerforms other duties as requested by ManagerJob Qualifications:Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities / EducationWorking knowledge of object-oriented software languagesAbility to listen, discern critical information, provide appropriate empathy, form judgments and recommend solutions based on existing available dataTeam oriented, cooperative and flexibleDemonstrated ability to collaboratively work with a wide range of people at all levels of the organizationExperience:Minimum 7 years of relevant software testing work experienceExperience with QA processes, open-source test frameworks, test design strategies, writing test cases, and automating tests.Excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, testing tools.Experience working in a global environment with an appreciation of cultural, regulatory, and operational differences across geographies.Ability to balance multiple priorities, identifying and focusing on the most value-added work and meeting expectations with high quality deliverables.Strong professional presence; able to articulate a value proposition and secure buy-in and support from key stakeholders.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrates initiative and drive; self-motivated, organized, and detail oriented; creative and analytical.Capable of working independently; demonstrates sound judgment; understands how to effectively manage information to QA management to ensure alignment and "no surprises".Comfortable in a fast-paced, global work environment.Strong MS Office skills required in general with advanced Excel skills required specificallyProficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScriptExperience with test automation tools like Selenium, TestCompleteKnowledge of end-to-end test frameworks such as TestCafe or Playwright is a bonusFamiliarity with .Net & GHCP is a bonusExperience with SAFe and/or scrum agile ways of working.Education:Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.Applicants may be required to appear onsite at a Wolters Kluwer office as part of the recruitment process.
