We are currently working on an ambitious hyper-realistic movie and are seeking a passionate and skilled VFX Head to lead our team in delivering cutting-edge visual effects for this project.

Job Overview:

As the VFX Head, you will oversee and guide the visual effects team throughout the production of our hyper-realistic movie. You will be responsible for the overall look and feel of the VFX, ensuring the highest quality of realism, while also managing team dynamics, workflow, and technical execution. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a portfolio with a groundbreaking project in a remote environment, though the position is unpaid.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the VFX department from concept to final delivery, ensuring all visual effects align with the creative vision.

• Collaborate with the Director, Producers, and other creative departments to integrate VFX seamlessly with live-action footage.

• Manage the VFX pipeline, ensuring a smooth workflow and timely delivery of assets.

• Provide feedback, guidance, and mentorship to junior VFX artists and interns.

• Ensure hyper-realistic quality across all visual effects, maintaining a high standard for both technical and creative execution.

• Oversee the technical aspects of VFX production, including simulation, modeling, lighting, and compositing.

• Solve technical issues that arise during production, optimizing the process for efficiency.

• Regularly communicate with the team and maintain a collaborative, creative working environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in leading VFX projects, with a strong portfolio showcasing hyper-realistic work.

• Proficiency in VFX software such as Houdini, Nuke, Maya, Blender, or similar tools.

• Strong understanding of photorealistic rendering, simulation, lighting, and compositing techniques.

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to manage a remote team.

• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

• Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.

• Experience working remotely or in a distributed team is a plus.
