Job Summary:

The Senior Accounting Executive leads the accounting department and manages daily financial operations. This role includes supervising staff, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining the general ledger, coordinating audits, and supporting strategic financial decisions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Oversee the preparation and review of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial documents.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with management.
  • Analyze financial performance and variances against budgets.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of audit schedules and responses to audit inquiries.
  • Stay updated on accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support for professional development.
  • Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of accounting duties.
  • Oversee tax preparation and filing, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Work with tax advisors on complex tax issues.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and availability of funds.
  • Manage banking relationships and ensure timely processing of payments and receivables.
  • Identify opportunities for improving accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • years of experience in accounting, with at least 4-5 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
