We're looking for someone who can transform complex ideas into sleek, user-friendly Android applications that not only meet but exceed our users' expectations. You'll be at the forefront of mobile technology, working with cutting-edge tools and frameworks to build the next generation of our Android app.


What would you be doing?


Android App Development and Performance

  • Design and implement Android applications that can handle significant increases in user load without degradation in performance
  • Achieve and maintain low app launch times and smooth UI interactions for the vast majority of devices
  • Reduce app size and optimize resource utilization through efficient coding practices


UI/UX Implementation

  • Develop and maintain new UI components regularly to support new features
  • Achieve and maintain high crash-free rates for all critical app functionalities
  • Reduce UI-related bugs through comprehensive testing and adherence to Material Design guidelines


Data Management and Offline Functionality

  • Improve app performance by implementing efficient local data storage and caching strategies
  • Design and implement robust synchronization mechanisms for offline-first functionality
  • Achieve zero data loss incidents through proper data persistence and recovery processes


Innovation and Technology Adoption

  • Successfully implement new Android SDK features or architectural patterns that demonstrably improve app performance or developer productivity
  • Reduce battery and data consumption through effective use of background processing and network optimizations
  • Increase app stability and responsiveness, achieving high user satisfaction ratings


What makes you a suitable candidate? We're looking for an Android maestro who brings:


  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Android development, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java for Android development
  • Strong command over Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern Android architecture components
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, and local data storage (SQLite, Room)
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps
  • A knack for writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an agile development environment
  • A degree in B.Tech Computer Science from a top tier college is preferred
  • Bonus points for experience with Kotlin Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, or Android NDK
