The ' state -of -Art' campus has been constructed on 15 acres of land with specialized laboratories, workshops, and centres of excellence having specialized skill training equipment and machines. The University offers Certificates, Diplomas and degree programs in high growth sectors such as Automobile, Construction, CSIT, Mechatronics, Architecture, Retail, Ports & Terminal Management, Beauty & Wellness, Media Management, Data Science, etc. with multi entry-exit and credit banking options. The objective of the University is to create’ industry- ready’ youth who can be gainfully employed upon completion of their courses.

Symbiosis Skills & Professional University is looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Controller of Examinations for the University. The minimum qualification, experience and desirable experience shall be as under:

Qualification & Experience

1) Candidate must have Master's degree with at least 55% of marks. Ph. D is desirable.

2) 8-10 years of experience at the level of Associate Professor along with educational administration experience or 15 years of administrative experience out of which 8 years of experience as Deputy Controller of Examinations or equivalent post.

3) Shall have experience of handling the educational administration at senior level in the University/ large educational institution.


Roles & Responsibilities

Candidate shall be responsible:

  • To provide leadership to Examination Department and administer all functions of Examination Department.
  • To organize and administer the examination related functions of the University.
  • Discharge functions as per guidance of the BOE
  • Make necessary arrangements for conduct of examinations and tests of the university and timely declaration of the results
  • Responsible for appointment of Paper Setters, Examiners and Moderators.
  • Prepare and announce in advance the calendar of examinations.
  • Arranging and monitoring printing of question papers.
  • Assessment of the performance of the candidates in the examinations and processing of results, also Responsible for timely publication of results of examinations and other tests
  • Handling postponement or cancellation of examinations, in part of in whole, in the event of malpractices or if the circumstance so warrant, and take disciplinary action or initiate and civil or criminal proceedings against any person or a group of persons or a college or an Institute, alleged to have committed malpractices.
  • To take disciplinary action wherever necessary against the candidates, paper setters, examiners, moderators or any other persons connected with examinations and found guilty of malpractices any relation to the examinations.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and strict discipline with regards to question paper and results in the COE department.
