Job Overview:The primary role of this position is to provide advanced programming support to a range of projects, clients, and therapeutic areas within the statistics and programming department.Key ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a skilled programmer with expertise in manipulating large databases and generating reports to enable analysts to explore real world healthcare data assets. This involves using excellent SAS and SQL programming skills to implement complex logic. Additionally, we require candidates who are comfortable creating complex analysis data sets derived from various data sources with a careful eye for outliers and errors.A strong understanding of epidemiology and statistical methods is desired, particularly when evaluating patient healthcare events in large databases. The ideal candidate will have experience building patient cohorts and working with real world healthcare claims and EHR data such as MarketScan, Optum, Flatiron Health, SEER medicare and Medicare databases.As a team member, you will lead internal and client study team meetings effectively, present study updates internally and at client meetings, and share scientific, technical and practical knowledge within the team and with colleagues. You will also perform work in full compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, company policies, procedures, and training.- Required Skills and Qualifications:Proficient in R and SQL programmingExpertise in Oncology databases such as Flatiron, COTAGood understanding of Oncology specific analyses such as Line of Therapy algorithms, Survival analysis, different statistical modelsPreferable to have R Shiny or Instant Health Data (IHD) experienceExperience with Analytic Datasets, patient cohorts- Benefits:Strong communication, time management, enthusiasm, and documentation skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environment- Others:Minimum four years SAS statistical programming experienceDatabase programming using SQLExperience with advanced statistical methods such as survival and regressionMaster's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or other subject with high statistical content
