Job Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team. As a senior data scientist, you will be responsible for driving business growth through data-driven insights and strategies. Job Description The successful candidate will have experience in leading analytics initiatives, developing predictive models, and working closely with cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead data science projects from end-to-end, including data preparation, modeling, and deployment. Develop and maintain predictive models using machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop data-driven solutions. Collaborate with data engineers to design and implement scalable data pipelines. Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Strong hands-on experience with PySpark and Databricks data processing and modelling. Solid foundation in Regression modelling, statistical analysis, and model performance evaluation. Comfortable working with SQL systems and structured/unstructured data pipelines. Proficiency in Excel for quick analytical checks, and PowerPoint for developing clear, executive-friendly insights and presentations. Strong analytical mindset and exceptional problem-solving skills to translate data into actionable business strategies. Good to Have Skills The following skills would be beneficial but not essential: Exposure to pricing analytics or revenue management models (elasticity, discount simulations, price optimization). Fluency in retail domain terminologies and an understanding of business KPIs. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Experience with Azure Databricks workflows or CI/CD-based deployment frameworks. Soft Skills We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following soft skills: Excellent communication and storytelling abilities – capable of simplifying complex analytics for non-technical stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to mentor junior team members, review deliverables, and guide technical and analytical workstreams. Collaborative attitude with the ability to work cross-functionally across data, product, and business teams.
