Embedded Hardware Engineer
About the Role
At Morphedo, hardware engineers design the bones and nerves of mission devices. This role demands precision, resilience, and creativity in building electronics that work under unforgiving conditions. You will architect, test, and validate hardware for healthcare, aerospace, and IoT applications where reliability is non-negotiable.
Problem Statements You'll Solve
- How can we design a PCB for a dialysis machine that operates reliably in a small-town hospital with frequent power cuts?
- How do we ruggedize hardware for aerospace devices that face sudden temperature and pressure changes?
- How can we design ultra-low-power boards for IoT devices used in large-scale municipal water monitoring?
- How do we ensure hardware designs remain compliant with EMC/EMI and safety standards under extreme conditions?
Responsibilities
Hardware Design & Development
- Design, prototype, and test PCBs for embedded and IoT devices.
- Select, validate, and qualify electronic components for rugged and high-reliability use.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for hardware failures and implement corrective actions.
- Support EMI/EMC testing and ensure compliance with regulatory and certification requirements.
Integration & Validation
- Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers for end-to-end system integration.
- Own hardware validation, debugging, and certification compliance.
- Continuously evaluate and adopt new components, tools, and design methodologies to enhance performance and efficiency.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate design documentation, testing reports, and compliance records.
- Ensure adherence to safety, reliability, and quality standards across all deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, or related field.
- 2–5 years in PCB design and embedded hardware engineering.
- Proficiency with design tools (Altium, Eagle, KiCAD).
- Strong understanding of EMC/EMI testing and certification processes.
- Familiarity with ruggedization techniques for aerospace/defence and power optimization for IoT systems.
Culture & Mindset
- Detail-obsessed engineer with precision-driven thinking.
- Research-driven, staying updated with the latest electronics and components.
- Resilient and committed to long-term deep-tech project cycles.
- Passionate about building hardware that advances healthcare, aerospace, and IoT innovation.
