Area Business Manager - Sales - Pune

Position – Area Business Manager

Reports to – Zonal Manager

Location – Pune

Industry – Healthcare

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture relationships with dentists, dental clinics, and groups within the assigned territory to achieve personal sales targets.
  • Represent the company’s products and services by thoroughly understanding client needs and objectives, enabling the identification of tailored solutions. Proactively investigate and resolve customer issues.
  • Overcome objections while effectively communicating the company’s offerings and value propositions to key decision-makers regarding suitable product options.
  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and identifying new opportunities, while maintaining strong connections with existing accounts through regular client visits.
  • Manage and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects, ensuring consistent and disciplined usage of the CRM system, as well as quote and finance tools.
  • Drive attendance at educational events by following up on target lists provided by marketing through outbound calls.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of sales experience in dynamic, high-growth corporate markets, including strong team management skills
  • Experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred.
  • Previous sales experience engaging with physicians as the primary point of contact is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with regional team members as well as independently.
  • Confidence in utilizing insights to adapt the selling approach based on customer needs and situations.
  • Commitment to maintaining integrity, high ethical standards, and professional conduct at all times.
  • Skilled in conveying complex information clearly, structurally, and compellingly.
  • Proficiency in consultative selling, preferably with knowledge of the Challenger Sales method or similar techniques.
  • Competent in using general computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
