RoleDirect tax compliance and litigation Job Level/ Designation Manager – Direct tax (M1)Function / DepartmentFinance (Direct tax)LocationMumbai (Corporate)Job PurposePart of the Group Taxation Team involved in tax compliances & advisory for the Vodafone Idea Group. This role involves assuming responsibility of tax compliance including tax assessments, return, lower deduction certificate, etc. and resolving TDS, Tax queries received from Circles / Shared Service Centre within prescribed time lines.Key Result Areas/AccountabilitiesTax compliancePreparation of tax audits /Tax returns/ transfer pricing /ITR-6, collation of details from shared service center, (SSC), circles and relevant circle team. Review of details send by the above team.Engaging with SSC and addressing queries raised by Tax auditors, consultant and finalization of above.Other compliance:Computation of DT / CT – Review of details, involving coordinating data from circle/ SSC team, addressing queries raised by Statutory auditorsQuarterly review of Contingent liability / Annual CARO reporting and Group reporting requirementsSFT/ NON PAN reportingTax AssessmentsCollating information from circles / SSC and ensuring that the data to be furnished with the authorities does not have any tax exposure and submission of the same to tax authorities in timely manner Subsequent to assessment, co-ordination with consultants for preparation, finalisation and filing of appeals. Interaction with consultants and preparation of groundwork to brief senior counsels for ITAT matters. Addressing data requirements in connection with litigation (present and past)To prepare Tax MIS & knowledge Tax updateAnalysis & preparation of Tax MIS.Analysis of recent judicial precedents, attending Seminar/Webinars on various topics & briefing the TeamCore Competencies, Knowledge, ExperiencePerson having knowledge and background about working in the areas of Direct tax, tax compliance, TDS, tax provision, advance tax, income tax return filing, tax audits,  tax litigation, tax assessment, tax appeals, etcMust have technical / professional qualificationsChartered AccountantYears of Experience1-3 yearsVodafone Idea Limited (formerly Idea Cellular Limited)An Aditya Birla Group & Vodafone partnership
