Project descriptionWe have an ambitious goal to migrate a legacy system written in HLASM (High-Level Assembler) from the mainframe to a cloud-based Java environment for one of the largest banks in the USA.We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Senior QA Engineer to work closely with the QA Lead and another QA. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing test strategies, as well as executing a comprehensive range of testing activities (Functional, Non-Functional, Integration, Data Migration).Primary Technology Stack:Mandatory: Java (strong expertise)Preferred: AWS experienceNice to have: SQL, PythonResponsibilitiesMandatory work from DXC office 5 days per weekPerform and oversee testing across multiple domains:FunctionalNon-FunctionalIntegrationData MigrationDrive innovation in testing processes and tools.SkillsMust haveExperience:8+ years as a QA Engineer with a focus on automationProven track record of creating QA automation frameworks from scratchTechnical Skills:Advanced proficiency in JavaStrong understanding of test approaches and methodologiesHands-on experience with SOAP/REST API testingFamiliarity with both manual and automated software testing methodologies and toolsFamiliarity with batch processingSoft Skills:Ability to collaborate effectively across teamsAdaptability and eagerness to learn new technologies and toolsNice to haveAWS experienceGood understanding of legacy and modern platform and approach for modernization
