  Job DescriptionSAP CPI Consultant - Application Management Services (AMS) Support Role OverviewThe SAP CPI Consultant (AMS Support) will be responsible for providing Level 2/3 support for SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) interfaces across the client's landscape. This role is crucial for ensuring the high availability, performance, and stability of mission-critical business integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems. The consultant must have a strong blend of technical expertise in SAP CPI and adherence to IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesIncident and Problem ManagementIncident Resolution: Provide expert-level troubleshooting, analysis, and resolution of incidents related to SAP CPI interfaces, integration flows (iFlows), and connectivity issues within agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs).Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Perform in-depth RCA for recurring or critical incidents to identify underlying problems, propose permanent fixes, and implement preventative measures to ensure system stability.Ticket Management: Manage the full lifecycle of support tickets (Incidents, Service Requests, Problems) using IT Service Management tools (e.g., SAP SolMan, ServiceNow).Interface Monitoring: Proactively monitor and manage the health of CPI integrations using the CPI monitoring tools, SAP Cloud ALM, or external monitoring solutions to ensure seamless data exchange.Maintenance and Change ManagementMinor Enhancements: Implement minor changes, bug fixes, and continuous improvement initiatives for existing iFlows, mappings, and configurations.Deployment and Transport: Manage the transport of CPI artifacts (iFlows, value mappings, security artifacts) across tenants (DEV, QA, PROD) following established Change Management processes.Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation, knowledge articles, run books, and interface landscape diagrams to ensure knowledge transfer and effective future support.System Upgrades: Participate in testing and validation efforts during SAP system upgrades, patches, and CPI version updates to ensure integration compatibility.Technical and CollaborativeTechnical Deep Dive: Perform error handling, message reprocessing, and configuration adjustments (e.g., security material updates, endpoint changes) within the CPI tenant.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SAP Functional Consultants (e.g., FI, MM, SD, HR), other technical teams, business users, and third-party vendors to resolve complex integration issues.On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation to provide off-hours and weekend support for critical business processes.Required Skills and QualificationsTechnical Expertise:SAP CPI/Integration Suite: Strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting iFlows in SAP CPI. Adapters/Protocols: Proficiency with various CPI adapters: SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, HTTP, Process Direct. Data Transformation: Expertise in XML, JSON, XSLT, and Groovy Scripting for complex data mapping and transformation logic. SAP Landscape: Good understanding of integration points with SAP systems like SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and cloud solutions (e.g., SuccessFactors, Ariba, C4C).Security: Knowledge of security concepts including OAuth 2.0, SAML, Basic Auth, and Certificate-based authentication. Cloud Connector: Experience with SAP Cloud Connector for secure connectivity to on-premise systems.Experience    6+ years of experience in SAP integration, with at least 2+ year specifically in SAP CPI/Integration Suite. Prior experience in an Application Management Services (AMS) or L2/L3 support role is a significant plus.General Skills:Problem Solving & Analysis: Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex integration issues quickly. ITSM Knowledge: Familiarity with ITIL processes, specifically Incident, Problem, and Change Management. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
