Remote Senior Accountant

We're looking for a highly skilled and ambitious accounting professional to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-growth leadership role, work with US-based leaders, and help shape the systems and team culture from the ground up.The ideal candidate has 5+ years of US accounting and tax experience, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants a long-term role where they can grow into senior leadership.Job ResponsibilitiesBuild the Accounting department from the ground up, including future hiring and trainingDevelop scalable workflows, systems, and SOPsIntroduce automation tools and process improvements to increase efficiencyProvide leadership, mentorship, and performance guidance as the team expandsIn addition to these key responsibilities, you will oversee daily and monthly accounting operations for multiple US entities, manage general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, accruals, and reporting. You will also prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, establish internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance, and prepare and file federal and state tax returns (1040, 1120, 1120-S, 1065).You will handle quarterly estimated taxes and compliance calendars, file payroll taxes, W-2s, 941/940, 1099-NEC, and 1096 forms, and review and respond to IRS or state notices when needed. You will ensure IRS and GAAP compliance in all accounting work and support clients with LLC, S-Corp, C-Corp, and Partnership setup.Required Skills and Qualifications5+ years of US accounting and tax filing experienceStrong experience with corporate and partnership returns (1120, 1120-S, 1065, K-1s)Hands-on experience preparing filings for 1099s, W-2s, payroll taxes, and foreign partner structuresProficiency with QuickBooks, Xero, and payroll platformsThis role requires strong communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. A high sense of ownership and accountability is essential, as well as the ability to create systems or processes from scratch.
