Our mission is to ensure compliance, enhance quality processes, and improve operational efficiency through cutting-edge technology and AI-driven analytics.Role Title: Senior Automation Test Engineer (SDET) – Playwright (JavaScript/TypeScript)Preferred Location: India, RemoteJob Description:As a Sr. QA automation engineer, you will own the creation and maintenance of our automated E2E test suite, working closely with both our testers and engineers. Besides automating tests, you will also run manual tests and contribute to various projects.We’re seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in UI automation using Playwright with TypeScript, and a solid grasp of modern testing frameworks and practices, including ES6. Strong English communication skills are a must.What You’ll Be DoingCreating, expanding, and maintaining our automated E2E and API test suites for different projects (using Playwright with TypeScript).Collaborating with testers and developers to achieve the above.Supporting the QA team in executing manual tests.Reporting test results and defects to the product, QA, and engineering teams.Creating and updating manual test cases.Preparing features with product owners and developers.Working with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.) to integrate automated tests into deployment pipelines.What You’ll BringFluent professional communication in English.Minimum 5 years of experience in test automation.At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Playwright (UI & API automation).Experience in automated E2E testing.Experience in automated API testing.Experience in maintaining large manual test suites.Experience in testing in an Agile setting.Proactive in communication with product owners, testers, and developers when preparing for new features and testing.The ability to assess the business impact of defects.Strong knowledge of JavaScript ES6 and TypeScript.It Would Be Good If You HadRelevant understanding of clinical guidelines: ICH-GCP - Good Clinical Practice, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and relevant GXP Regulations and Guidances.What We Offer:A dynamic and innovative environment with opportunities to work on cutting-edge technologies.Competitive compensation and benefits, including flexible leave policies, offsite events, a welcome pack, and a laptop.Opportunities for continuous professional growth and development through our learning policy.Interview Process:Stage 1 – HR Screening RoundAn introductory conversation to understand your background and alignment with the role.Stage 2 –Technical AssessmentA technical assessment to evaluate your coding and problem-solving skills.Stage 3 – Technical Interview with the Hiring Manager A detailed discussion focused on your technical expertise and hands-on experience.Stage 4 – Second Technical Interview with EMsAn additional technical deep dive with our Engineering Managers.Stage 5 – Discussion with VP of QA A final conversation to understand your strategic fit and alignment with our vision.Stage 6 – OfferSuccessful candidates will receive an offer to join the Scilife team.
