Job OverviewThe Procurement Operation Specialist plays a crucial role in the semiconductor industry by overseeing purchases and inventory management of materials, components, and supplies necessary for manufacturing semiconductors.Key responsibilities include creating and managing purchase orders, ensuring compliance with commercial terms and business conditions agreed upon, and optimizing purchasing activities.This role requires a deep understanding of processes and supplier management.Collaboration is key as the specialist works closely with category managers, suppliers, logistics, storage, accounts payable, legal teams, and business partners.Primary Responsibilities:Develop and manage procurement orders (POs).Process inventory and non-inventory requests through systems of planning and procurement requisitions.Make changes to demand signals for reordering inventory and customer purchase order requests.Communicate with suppliers to confirm prices, delivery, and payment terms.Escalate issues or disputes with suppliers to corresponding account manager administrators.Stakeholder Management:Coordinate timely PO approvals.Collaborate with warehouse personnel to receive goods on time when needed.Process PO confirmations and resolve delayed receipts.Collaborate with sellers for pull-in/push-out changes and mitigate material availability risks on time.Collaborate with accounts payable and receiving for invoice reconciliations and cycle payment issues related to PO-payments.Functional and Project Support:Inform stakeholders about pending orders, new part requests, and new vendor requests.Develop procedures (SOPs) related to purchasing processes.Maintain and continuously improve knowledge of relevant purchasing processes.Promote necessary process improvements and system enhancements to enable efficiency and effectiveness and achieve internal client satisfaction.Ensure that purchasing records are accurate and up-to-date.
