Position : Lead Engineer- Instrumentation & Control

Minimum Qualifications

 Bachelor’s Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Instrumentation

Engineering, Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical

Engineering, Electronics, Systems Engineering or a relevant Engineering

discipline.

 Exposure to Microsoft Office

 Recognized automation certifications would be an advantage.

 Exposure to SPI In tools, 3D Modelling is an advantage


Minimum Experience

 12-15 years of related experience in the assigned field of engineering with at

least 4 years of design supervisory / team leadership responsibilities and

exposure to project management and contractor management.


Act as a technical expert for all matters related to Instrumentation/Telecom

systems across assigned projects, ensuring timely provision of efficient and

reliable services to support achievement of project deliverables.

 Continuous monitoring of project progress, identify snags and take immediate

corrective action in consultation with the concerned.

 Oversee detailed design and Engineering activity for all

automation/instrument/Telecom engineering aspects of projects, including

formulation of engineering specifications to ensure alignment to project goals

and strategy.

 Supervise, coordinate and approve the activities of assigned personnel and

contractor or consultants on all automation / instrument / Telecom engineering

related activities (design and detailed engineering and procurement support)

ensuring effective liaison with the project team for all day to day matters to

facilitate timely and accurate execution of all project phases as per defined

timelines and specifications.

 Ensure projects’ automation / instrument / Telecom engineering design and

engineering activities are executed according to specification, within budget,

with the contract scope of work and meets time schedules while highlighting

any non-conformances to project engineers, for timely action.

 Carry out feasibility studies to support the financial and technical viability of

new Instrumentation systems, and provide recommendations as appropriate.

Develop the specifications of Instrumentation systems associated with new

projects.

 Recommend the use of external consultants / contractors as required, define

their scope of work, and oversee and direct works. Coordinate with

consultants / contractors during project implementation for all project related

matters, including site visits, technical data requirements, etc., and ensure

compliance with policies, procedures and standards.

 Review and resolve contractor queries and provide technical guidance and

expertise such that project goals are clearly understood and to minimize

delays. Review and approve all related technical documents as per defined

levels of authority and established protocols.

 Gather research and analyze pertinent data and information and prepare

recommendations with supporting technical data for the effective development

of specifications and device data sheets.

 Participate in technical evaluation of contractor vendor proposals to assess

technical capability and ensure that bidder’s proposals comply with set

specifications whenever applicable.

 Review of Interdisciplinary documents and provide Instrumentation & Control

related inputs, as necessary.

 Raise Technical Queries as and when required.

 Participate in all project reviews including HAZOP, SIL, 3D Model etc

 Coordinate the engineering review and approval of design, equipment and

interface with contractor and vendors.

 Lead meetings related to all aspects of Instrumentation engineering matters, to

ensure the assigned discipline, interdisciplinary and operational input is

effectively communicated to contractors or consultants and reflected in

specifications, data sheets and drawings.

 Review applicability of existing drawings, standards and specifications and

recommend appropriate changes.
