Information Security Internship OpportunityWe are seeking a highly motivated and passionate individual to join our team as an Information Security Intern.This internship provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in information security, penetration testing, and application security.This opportunity is structured into two phases: a comprehensive training period and a paid internship.During the Comprehensive Training Period (First 12 Months), you will receive guidance and practical exposure to core practices of penetration testing, application security, and information security.You will be expected to demonstrate your capabilities during this time. If unable to do so, you will have the option to extend your training for another 6 months.The minimum skills required for this training include:Familiarity with Burp Suite for application security testing.Basic knowledge of tools such as Nmap, OWASP ZAP, and Metasploit.Understanding of OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.Basic knowledge of technologies such as HTTP protocols, SQL injection, XSS, and secure coding practices.A fundamental understanding of penetration testing processes and methodologies.Upon successfully completing the training period, you will transition to a Paid Internship (Next 6 Months).During this phase, you will work on real-world projects, including conducting security assessments, performing vulnerability analyses, developing reports on security findings, and working with development teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities.After completing the 12-month program based on your performance and contributions, you will be encouraged to apply for a full-time position within our organization.Responsibilities:Assist with security assessments: Support professionals in conducting various application security assessments, including vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, static/dynamic analysis, and manual code reviews.Security research: Conduct research on emerging application security threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors, contributing to our company's knowledge base.Tool evaluation: Evaluate and compare different application security tools and technologies, providing recommendations based on their effectiveness and suitability.Vulnerability analysis: Analyze identified vulnerabilities to understand their potential impact and exploitability.Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining security documentation, including reports, presentations, and knowledge base articles.Automation: Explore opportunities to automate security tasks and processes, improving efficiency and scalability.Learn and apply secure coding practices: Gain hands-on experience with secure coding principles and techniques, applying them to real-world scenarios.Qualifications:Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.Demonstrated interest in application security through projects, coursework, or extracurricular activities.Basic understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and common web frameworks.Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go).Basic understanding of networking concepts and security protocols.Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Benefits:Gaining practical experience in application security within a leading information security organization.Receiving guidance and mentorship from experienced security professionals and industry experts.Networking opportunities with professionals in the information security field.Skill development in a rapidly growing and in-demand field.Resume building with relevant experience in a reputable information security organization.
