Enterprise Mainframe Systems Expert WantedWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced enterprise mainframe systems expert to join our team.Key Responsibilities:Install, configure, and maintain z/OS and subsystems (JES2, RACF, CICS, DB2, IMS) in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Manage system updates, PTFs, APARs using SMP/E, ensuring timely and efficient deployment of new releases.Monitor and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance to ensure optimal system stability and compatibility across releases.Performance Tuning & Capacity Planning:Conduct regular capacity planning and recommend hardware upgrades to meet business needs.Tune WLM, Sysplex, and critical components to achieve optimal performance and efficiency.Develop and implement automation scripts using REXX, JCL, CLIST, Ansible to streamline monitoring, job scheduling, and efficiency.Security & Compliance:Administer RACF and enforce security policies to ensure data protection and compliance with regulatory requirements.Implement and maintain robust security controls to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect against cyber threats.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA regulations.Storage & Backup Management:Oversee storage and backup management, ensuring data integrity and availability.Optimize disk and tape storage usage to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for business continuity.Incident Management & Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including abends and bottlenecks, working closely with IBM support and vendors.Analyze system dumps, logs, and traces to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.Documentation & Knowledge Sharing:Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.Share expertise and best practices with junior team members to foster growth and development.
