Highly Experienced z/OS Systems Programmer WantedWe are seeking an accomplished professional with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level system software in IBM mainframe environments.Main Responsibilities:Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain z/OS and subsystems (JES2, RACF, CICS, DB2, IMS).System Updates and Maintenance: Manage system updates, PTFs, APARs using SMP/E to ensure smooth operation and stability.Key Performance Indicators:CPU, Memory, and I/O Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance to meet business requirements.Tuning and Capacity Planning: Tune WLM, Sysplex, and critical components to ensure optimal system performance.Security and Compliance:Access Control Administration: Administer RACF and enforce strict security policies to prevent unauthorized access.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA regulations.Storage and Backup Management:Storage Resource Management: Manage DFSMS, VSAM, HSM, and storage tools to optimize disk and tape storage usage.Data Protection: Oversee backups, DR, and high-availability solutions to minimize data loss.Incident Management and Troubleshooting:Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve system abends and bottlenecks in a timely manner.Root Cause Analysis: Analyze dumps, logs, and traces to identify root causes of issues.Automation and Scripting:Automation Development: Develop automation scripts using REXX, JCL, CLIST, Ansible to improve efficiency.Process Optimization: Automate repetitive tasks to streamline processes and reduce manual errors.Disaster Recovery and High Availability:Business Continuity Planning: Implement and test disaster recovery plans for business continuity.Failover Configuration: Maintain Parallel Sysplex and failover configurations to ensure minimal downtime.Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:Knowledge Documentation: Maintain technical documentation and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing.Mentorship: Mentor junior team members and share expertise to enhance team capabilities.
