Job Summary:Seeking a Telehealth Prior Authorization Specialist to coordinate and facilitate prior authorization requests for various medical procedures and treatments.Key Responsibilities:Review patient medical records to determine the necessity of prior authorizations.Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies to gather required information and submit authorization requests.Maintain accurate documentation of all authorization requests, approvals, and denials in compliance with HIPAA regulations.Follow up on pending authorizations and resolve any issues that may arise during the approval process.Stay updated on changes in insurance policies and relevant medical coding practices.Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure seamless patient care and efficient processing of authorizations.Educate patients on the prior authorization process and necessary steps they need to take.Process sleep-related authorizations, consultations, appeals, and oral appliance referrals.Requirements:Strong analytical and communication skills.Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance policies.Experience with HIPAA regulations and compliance.Benefits:This role offers opportunities for professional growth and development in a dynamic healthcare environment.
