Senior Data Platform EngineerWe're seeking a seasoned Senior Data Platform Engineer to design and develop robust data pipelines, architectures, and services that meet our business needs.Data Pipelines: Design, build, and operate high-quality, scalable batch and change-driven pipelines from multiple sources; schedule/orchestrate jobs; handle schema evolution and failures effectively.Transformations & Modeling: Implement clean, tested merge and transformation pipelines and produce models that are easy to consume for analytics and products; tune SQL for optimal performance.APIs & Integration: Develop or collaborate on APIs for data access and updates; design request/response contracts; manage auth (OAuth2/OIDC/JWT), idempotency, validation, and auditing.Infrastructure & DevOps: Provision and manage cloud resources with Terraform; automate build/test/deploy with CI/CD; write efficient shell scripts for glue/ops tasks.Observability & Reliability: Instrument structured logs, metrics, and traces; define alert policies and on-call runbooks; track SLOs and drive root-cause prevention.Security Fundamentals: Apply least-privilege access, secrets management, and encryption in transit/at rest; collaborate with the team on compliance requirements.Quality & Tests: Write unit, integration, and data-quality tests (including SQL tests) to ensure pipelines and services are correct and maintainable.About this Role:This is a critical role within our organization, requiring strong technical expertise and collaboration skills. As a Senior Data Platform Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data systems that meet business needs.Key Responsibilities:Design and develop high-quality data pipelines and architectures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design solutions.Develop and maintain APIs for data access and updates.Manage cloud resources and infrastructure using Terraform and other tools.Automate build/test/deploy processes using CI/CD pipelines.Instrument and monitor data systems to ensure reliability and performance.Apply security best practices to protect data and systems.Write high-quality tests to ensure data systems are correct and maintainable.Requirements:Proven experience as a Senior Data Platform Engineer or similar role.Strong technical expertise in data engineering, architecture, and development.Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and automation tools (Terraform, AWS, GCP, Azure).Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Java, C++, etc.) and data processing frameworks (Apache Beam, Spark, Flink, etc.).Excellent collaboration and communication skills.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.What We Offer:A competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative and dynamic work environment.The chance to work on challenging projects that impact our business.
