About Expand My Business: Expand My Business is Asia’s largest managed marketplace for digital services. We offer services in the digital space, broadly divided into four verticals: IT Development, Digital Marketing, Web 3.0, and Resource Augmentation. We operate with a pool of verified agencies across India on our platform.
Job Overview: We are looking for an SEO Intern to undertake all search engine optimisation activities including but not limited to on-page, off-page and technical SEO. You will be responsible for undertaking all SEO activities such as content strategy, link building, competitor analysis and keyword strategy, to increase rankings on all major search networks and meet the deliverables for client projects.
Responsibilities:
• Develop optimisation strategies that increase the company's search engine results rankings.
• Undertake keyword research by understanding the competitive landscape and trends on the search engine aligned with business objectives and services of the organization.
• Ensure the optimisation of company’s website and required marketing materials for ensuring the SEO-friendliness of the content.
• Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO strategy performance.
• Update content and website links for maximum optimisation and search engine rankings.
• Optimise content for blogs, service pages and other relevant web pages for enhanced organic visibility of the website.
• Optimise meta description, page title, headers and sub-headers on web page, image descriptions and image alt tags on the web pages.
• Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices (technical) are properly implemented on newly developed code.
• Work with editorial and marketing teams to drive SEO in content creation and content programming.
• Recommend changes to website architecture, content, linking and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords.
• Ability to perform all off-page activities such as profile listing, classified, Content promotion, etc.
• Regular GMB Optimization and updation.
• Undertake competitor analysis and understand their ranking factors.
• Understand client brief and conduct website audit and SWOT analysis for client projects.
• Regularly analyse backlink profile (identification of the link SPAM issues) and submit disavow reports via Google Webmaster tools to ensure healthy links and backlink profile.
• Recommend strategies for improving the organic traffic and session time on website by understanding the data from GA, GSC and other reporting tools.
Eligibility Criteria:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or any related field is a must.
• Strong interest in digital marketing, specifically in search engine optimization (SEO).
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and techniques is preferred.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
