HCL Software Support Lead Developer/Manager

This person has to have the following:

• Needs to be driven and take initiative

• Has a strong desire to learn the ServiceNow product as well as the

overall support process

• Be able to balance the need to do the right thing for the business

and the client as well as for our L2 Support teams

• Needs to be technical to understand the ServiceNow tool, the

configuration, and backend of the system


• Be able to communicate and work collaboratively with a world

wide team

• Flexible to work in different time zones

Essential Job Functions:

• Identify new opportunities for transforming manual operations in to

automated workflows

• Facilitate deployment and subsequent maintenance of critical

Support infrastructure, considering the needs for high availability,

disaster recovery, and backup

• Serve as escalation point for incidents related to the functioning of

the code

• Collaborate with engineers and cross functional teams to deliver

high quality features, defects, and enhancements

• Define and improve process; share and follow development best

practice

• Ability to lead, mentor and guide junior engineers

• Ability to recognize needs of the team, such as training

• Good level of spoken and written English

Developer functions

• Good knowledge of Agile Development and apply rigor in

following it.

• Understanding of what makes good User Interface experience.

• Be able to translate ideas into requirements

• Be able to translate requirements into actionable stories

• Be able to translate stories into bug free working code.

• Good knowledge of the JavaScript language and debugging

JavaScript

• Good knowledge of Angular

• Good understanding of REST APIs

• Good understanding of Relational databases

• Quick learner with the ability to understand and apply what was

learned

Tester functions

• Write complete test cases

• Write up detailed comprehensible defect reports

Location: Pune
