Our Story

Position Overview:
The Director of Catalog will be responsible for managing Zepto’s entire catalog, encompassing 34 product categories. You will ensure consistency, completeness, clarity, and correctness (4Cs) for all products across the platform. Additionally, you will drive new product development for Product Display Pages (PDP) and Product Listing Pages (PLP) on the app while overseeing catalog data management and team operations. This role requires strategic leadership, team management, and a focus on innovation to maintain and elevate Zepto’s catalog above competitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Catalog Ownership: Manage the entire catalog, ensuring consistency, completeness, clarity, and correctness (4Cs) across all 34 product categories, driving a best-in-class customer experience.
- Product Development: Lead the development of new product features and enhancements for PDPs and PLPs, ensuring smooth integration with the app.
- Data Management & Quality: Oversee catalog data management, ensuring that all product information is accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with business objectives.
- BRD Creation: Develop detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) for product enhancements and improvements, collaborating closely with product and tech teams to execute efficiently.
- Team Leadership & Recruitment: Manage and grow the catalog team, driving recruitment, mentorship, and operational excellence. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Project Management: Handle multiple projects simultaneously, balancing ongoing improvements with the need to launch new initiatives. Think strategically about innovations that can further improve the catalog.
- Innovation & Market Standards: Stay abreast of market trends and competitor offerings, continuously exploring and implementing innovations to keep Zepto’s catalog ahead of industry standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in catalog management, product development, or related fields, with a focus on data quality and process optimization.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of managing complex catalog systems and product data operations.
- Expertise in creating BRDs and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product and process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and think innovatively about improving catalog processes and customer experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree from a Tier 1 institute, MBA preferred.
