RESPONSIBILITY OF SENIOR ARCHITECT

Key Objective:

To Head the Design Studio and handle all projects from Design to Execution.

Qualifications required : B.Arch & M.Arch. (preferred)

Experience : 5 years and above.

Reporting to the Associate Architect/  Founding Principal Architect.

Main Responsibility

  • Taking the first clients brief, making conceptual plans in consultation with Associate Architect.
  • Design presentation and calling for clients meeting.
  • Making Final Layout – Presentation as well as working drawings.
  • Assign the work to Junior Architects and Trainees and track them.
  • All Services design and it's Co-ordination with the Consultants.
  • Prepare schedule of Drawings & Client meetings before start of project.
  • Prepare details of Materials Specifications – schedule of finishes.
  • Check Line out of Building & Issuing of drawings to Engineer & Contractor.  
  • Strict adherence to project schedule & ensure delivery of drawings with regular tracking. Report weekly activity to CEO every week.
  • Monitor execution of work at site, with the help of site engineer.
  • Prepare all Interior Drawings in consultation with Interior Designer.
  • Visit each site regularly & File minutes in site register and track them throughout the week and cross-check them in next site visit.
  • Call for client meetings as per the specified schedule and stick to schedule.
  • Co-ordinate Projects smoothly and liase between Architects and the Associate Architect / Founding Principal Architect.
  • Hold contractors meeting at site or office/ monthly & report minutes.
  • Prepare specification of the projects which they are handling. 

During Site Visits:  

  • Check previous minutes and ensure all of them are ticked off.
  • Ensure Written Instructions in site register by project architect/ self.
  • Check work Schedule and Progress of work at site.
  • Any deviation to be brought to the notice of Associate Architect immediately.
  • Keep in touch with Client over whatsapp/ phone call on a regular basis.
