Database Operations SpecialistThis is a senior-level position for a Database Operations Specialist with 10-15 years of experience.Responsibilities:Installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and troubleshooting of Oracle databases across various versions.Experience in high-availability environments with strong skills in automation, security, and compliance.Perform periodic maintenance/patching as required and monitor database performance.Manage backup and recovery using RMAN and Oracle Recovery Manager strategies.Define and implement best practices and automation initiatives.Lead database migration projects (on-prem to cloud/version upgrades).Required Skills:Proficient in RMAN backup and recovery strategies.Strong knowledge of Oracle Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.Hands-on experience in performance tuning and query optimization.Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for monitoring and management.Experience with patching, upgrades, and database cloning.Solid understanding of Unix/Linux system administration related to Oracle.Proficiency in writing complex PL/SQL scripts and shell scripting for automation.Experience in handling large-scale database environments (multi-TB).Good communication skills with both technical and management teams.
