About Position: We are seeking for oracle developer with hands on experience in oracle, sql, postgre sql etc.,Role: Oracle DeveloperLocation: Pune, Hyderabad, BengaluruExperience: 7 to 11 yearsJob Type: Full Time EmploymentWhat You'll Do: Data Design & Architecture Support:Ensure design consistency across applications and identify data redundancies in the enterprise data model.Develop and maintain data standards, definitions, and logical database designs (ERDs).Provide consultation to ADM teams on database requirements aligned with technical specifications.Recommend updates to the enterprise data model and logical data model.Advise on integration of data across multiple systems and provide architectural sign-off on database designs.Research existing data sources and map source entities to logical models.Collaborate with data modelers and DBAs to define metadata and maintain data dictionaries.Database Software Management:Install, configure, patch, and maintain database software.Perform version upgrades and manage software lifecycle (patches, evolution).Handle software license management and maintain accurate inventory of deployed components.Physical Database Administration:Define and optimize physical data file placement and indexing strategies.Design and configure database storage and replication strategies.Plan and implement backup and restore procedures.Translate logical schemas into physical database layouts.Perform database reorganizations, re-indexing, and tuning for optimal performance.Compliance & Standards:Operate within customer-defined standards, policies, and procedures.Validate standards and processes before deployment and document run books.Ensure compliance with security requirements and industry best practices.Performance & Monitoring:Monitor and optimize physical database performance.Configure monitoring tools for alerts and thresholds.Maintain valid disaster recovery (DR) plans and test regularly.Identify SQL tuning opportunities and implement recommendations.Support & Collaboration:Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support for all database software.Coordinate with ADM teams and third-party providers for design and impact analysis.Participate in hardware changes and perform data migrations.Develop implementation and fallback procedures for database changes.Strong experience in data modeling (logical & physical) and enterprise data architecture.Expertise in DBMS installation, configuration, patching, and performance tuning.Proficiency in SQL, indexing, and optimization techniques.Knowledge of data integration strategies, metadata management, and data dictionaries.Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and security compliance.Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.Expertise You'll Bring: Database Administration: Strong experience in managing Oracle and SQL Server databases, including installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades.Performance Tuning: Skilled in optimizing queries, indexes, and database structures for high performance and scalability.Backup & Recovery: Expertise in implementing robust backup strategies and disaster recovery plans using RMAN and other tools.Security Management: Proficient in user access control, encryption, and compliance with data security standards.Troubleshooting & Monitoring: Hands-on experience with diagnosing database issues, monitoring health, and ensuring high availability.Scripting & Automation: Ability to write PL/SQL scripts and automate routine DBA tasks for efficiency.Cloud & Migration: Familiarity with database migration to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud) and hybrid environments.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits packageCulture focused on talent development with quarterly growth opportunities and company-sponsored higher education and certificationsOpportunity to work with cutting-edge technologiesEmployee engagement initiatives such as project parties, flexible work hours, and Long Service awardsAnnual health check-upsInsurance coverage: group term life, personal accident, and Mediclaim hospitalization for self, spouse, two children, and parentsValues-Driven, People-Centric & Inclusive Work Environment:Persistent Ltd. is dedicated to fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
